Authority Meetings are the only occasion where
the Authority (all 18 Elected Members) meets as one group to
discuss issues and approve actions. The Authority has legal
responsibility for making decisions about all matters therefore
anything that needs to be decided can be approved in an Authority
Meeting. The Authority has delegated a range of decision-making
powers to Committees and highly trained Officers in order to
maintain a safe and effective fire service to the communities of
Merseyside and beyond.
